How to Install,Return Back Original Stock ROM/Firmware on Samsung Galaxy S3 (S III GT-I9300, U.S and Canada)

This is the step by step procedure on how to manually install back the original firmware or Stock ROM on Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 International, U.S.A and Canada variants. Installing or flashing the stock ROM is useful in some other part like, if you want to return back your Galaxy S3 to its original factory firmware settings if somehow having done some modding like rooting and installing a custom ROM. This is also useful for fixing soft-bricks if somehow you messed up somewhere and end up with a soft bricked Galaxy S3, this guide might also help you to recover your Galaxy S3 and bring back to life in no time as long as you can still access the download mode.

Instead of using Kies, which is only capable for upgrading the software, this method is also widely used by Galaxy S3 advance users for upgrading or by downgrading purposes and tweaking their devices by installing other regions firmware.  Some other reasons, if Kies will ignores your device from updating, like if your device was bought on other country and you can't upgrade it anymore in your local region like Kies only says "Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies" when you tried connecting it, this method is also been useful to manually upgrade your Galaxy S3.

What is a Stock ROM?

Stock ROMs are the firmware that has been released from Samsung Kies official firmware server. These are being pulled from Kies by an Android firmware experts and carefully re-bundled it to make it flashable by using Odin flasher tool, via CWM and some prepared tool like chainfires' Mobile Odin. This guide here tackles an Odin flashable stock ROM only, you might also see other methods like flashing via CWM and Mobile Odin (whuch is to be added soon).

Stock ROMs contains the binary and image files of the whole software packaged, like these:
* Sbl.bin
* cache.img
* factoryfs.img
* hidden.img
* modem.bin
* param.lfs
* zImage

Inside the stock ROM bundled, those binary and images files are packed in three different formats.
Some full packaged stock ROM comes in multiple package this includes with BOOTLOADER image and PIT files, but in flashing it's been safe not to use these files.
PDA - This the software/firmware build number version and consists to a code of numbers and letters
CSC - (Consumer Software Customization) Refers to the specific country or carriers for that said firmware is being build.
This where it contains the default settings of each specific geographical region, carrier network providers and network data connections.

Phone - This renders the specific Baseband or device modem data (GSM/HSPDA).

PIT - the PIT file refers as 'Partition Information Table'. This is only useful for fixing bricked devices if somehow something changed with the partition table layout of the phone's system memory. But in normal flashing, you should not use this file, or you may screw up your phone if handed carelessly.

Important Reminders before Flashing Galaxy S3 Stock ROM

- Make sure that your Galaxy S3's battery is fully charge.
- Stock ROM packages comes in two formats the 'Full-Wipe' (delete your stored data after flashing) and the 'Non-Wipe' (it doesn’t delete your phone’s stored data) but it is highly recommended to make a back up all important files stored from your phone’s internal memory – contacts, messages, etc.  before flashing no-matter if it is Full-WIpe or Non-Wipe,  just to be safe and ensure that your stored data are in  safe  if something went wrong during the flashing process.
- Remember or back up the APN settings of your device. ( This only done if you try to install other regions stock ROM.
- Use a PC or laptop that runs in Windows OS, with a good and perfectly working USB serial port.  Odin will not work on MAC OS.
- Use the supplied USB cable for your Galaxy S3.
- Enable USB debugging from your phone’s settings. Go to Settings > Applications > Development, and tick the box that says ‘Enable USB Debugging’.
- Do a “Hard Reset” if you have a lot of 3rd party applications installed from your phone, this is useful to gain a smooth flashing. (Just make sure that you already back up all your important files before resetting your device.
- Ensure that KIES is closed and not running in the system tray! Kies will interrupt and doesn't like Odin, it will block you from flashing.

Grab your Samsung Galaxy S3 Original Firmware or Stock ROM according to your phone's Country/Carrier of origin. I can't put it all up here, so you may find the most latest build.

Warning! Choose and install only the right stock ROM on each specified Galaxy S3 model number, DO NOT install to other model numbers for it will harm your device or resulting to possible bricks.

Stock ROM are case sensitive and may result to undesired outcomes if used improperly.. Each stock ROM was built to a specific product code variant. International version GT-I9300 stock ROM cannot be used on U.S and Canada variants. Some compatible stock ROMs are SGH-I747 U.S and SGH-I747M Canada. The T-Mo SGH-T999 is also compatible with Canadian SGH-T999V. Others are just to be used on each assigned product codes like the I535 and L710.

Step 2: Extract the downloaded stock ROM

You need to extract the downloaded file which is packed in zip or rar files, so that you'll get the tar.md5 file.

Step 3: Run and Configure Odin

Run Odin downloader Odin3_v3.04 on your PC desktop. Watch out the check-boxes options on the right top of Odin, ensure that the ‘RE-PARTITION’ is unchecked, only  the ‘AUTO-REBOOT and ‘F.RESET TIME’ checkboxes are both remained checked.

ODIN flasher v3.04 configure checkboxes on flashing Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300

Step 6: Reboot your Galaxy S3 into Download Mode

To reboot the Galaxy S3 into  download mode , you need to turn the power off.  After it completely shut off,  just  press and hold the Volume Down key,  Home button and the Power ON/OFF button simultaneously.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Download Mode buttons Volume Down,HOME,Power keys
You should then prompted into a warning screen and asking you  to press volume up if you want to continue or volume down to cancel, just simply press volume up to get into download mode. The download mode then displays an Android robot and say's "Downloading.. Do not turn off target!!"

Step 5: Connect your Phone to PC or Laptop

Once you already reboot the phone in download mode,  simply connect the phone to your PC or laptop USB.
In Odin window - the ID:COM box will turn to blue color and indicates the COM port number and a word "Added" on a log box will prompt you that the device is already detected or recognized by Odin.

Odin flasher v3.04 connecting Samsung Galaxy S3 via PC/laptop USB

Your COM port number might be different from mine. If you do not see a COM port number then there's something missing or wrong. You may read again from the top of this post.

Step 6: Load the binary .tar.md5 file

Single Packaged Stock ROM
If the stock ROM is pack in One .tar.md5 file only the PDA, CSC and Phone modem are already included to it. Now, you need to just simply click on the PDA button, then browse to the folder where the .tar or .tar.md5 you have previously extracted and then select and load it.
Just like this image below, I used United Kingdom unbranded Galaxy S3 stock ROM on this guide, so it came as I9300XXLE8_I9300OXAALE8_I9300XXLE8_HOME.tar.md5.

Build numbers varies on each product code, specific geographical region and network CSC (Consumer Software Customization) codes. Like for example in US variant like AT&T Galaxy S3 I747 it also comes such this:

Odin flashing Samsung Galaxy S3, loading the single pack .tar.md5 file stock ROM

Note: Do not put a 'PIT' file.

Stock ROM with Multiple Files with PDA, CSC and PHONE files
If the files came with three individual .tar like PDA, CSC and PHONE
packages, you'll need to load each specific file formats on each designated buttons.

PDA button - select the .tar file associated with a name CODE after the build number like - CODE_I9300xxxxx_xxxxx_.tar

CSC button - .tar file associated with a name 'CSC' after the build number like - CSC_XXX_I9300xxxxx_xxxxx_.tar

PHONE button - .tar file associated with a name 'MODEM' after the build number like - MODEM_I9300xxxxx_xxxxx_.tar

Odin flashing Samsung Galaxy S3, loading the multiple packaged stock ROM with PDA, CSC and PHONE

Note: Again, DO NOT load or put a 'PIT' file.

Step 7: Start Flashing or Installing the stock ROM

Once if all set and ready to fire-up, hit the "START" button in Odin to begin flashing the stock ROM.
Do not ever interrupt the phone while already in flashing progress, like disconnecting the cable or turning off the device. Just wait until it completely finish.

Odin flasher - start installing Galaxy S3 stock ROM

Step 8: Watch out for the word PASS!!

When the Stock ROM installation successfully completes, you will then see a word "PASS" in Odin. This indicates that the flashing was already finish, and on the log box it says "All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)". The phone will just then automatically reboot, then it's to remove it from PC or laptop USB connection.

A word Pass in Odin when the installing stock ROM on Galaxy S3 succefully completes

Confirm your fresh firmware installed by typing *#1234# or
Go to Settings>About Phone>Firmware info.
You can also do factory reset by dialing *2767*3855#.
Check and reconfigure your APN settings when data networks connection issues encountered. This only happens if you installed other regions stock ROM.

Possible errors that you may encountered, this is based on my own experience while flashing stock ROM on Samsung Android devices. These are just a few hints on how to resolved it.

Q: I got an error message that says "Set-up connection Failed" ?
A: 1. Check your USB connection from the phone to PC,
2. Connect to another PC USB port
3. Check and try to another USB cable
4. Re-install the USB driver.

Q: Odin just suddenly stuck in the middle of nowhere while in flashing progress, It isn't responding at all?
A: Check for possible program that might interrupt the process, like disabling the anti-virus and closing any running programs.
Try to use another PC or laptop,

Q: I experienced bootloop or the phone just stuck on Welcome Logo (phone always stop at bootanimation) and it won't boot normally?
A: You can fix it via recovery mode option, do this:
Boot in recovery mode
1. Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power button.
2. Use volume keys to select, Up and Down and Power or Home key to select the option
3. Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset using the Home button.
4. Next select the Wipe Cache Partition
5. Lastly, select Reboot System Now to reboot your Galaxy S3 in Normal mode.

Q: My Galaxy S III is now soft-bricked, what should I do then.
A: For 3 years, never been happened to me soft-bricking my older phones using Odin, I was once got soft-bricks using ROM manager. But if somehow this happens to your device, here's how.

If you can still access the phone in Download Mode, then you can recover it by repeating the flashing procedure again.
If not, that's seriously bad. The only option is to send it to your nearest service center. Folks at service will recover it by forcing to re-flash the firmware via JTAG.

That's it! you have now learned how to install Samsung Galaxy S3 stock ROM. You can use this procedure again and again, using any future stock ROM that only match with your device.
All other questions and suggestions are most welcome, just let me know by leaving a message on the comment form below. Enjoy!.

  1. hi.
at least i did it. firstly tried many times but i did it. :)
the problem was visrus protection. so, after the close that rom loading was starting.
in my advice, brfore the loading ROM must be closed the virus protection and internet.

    thx a lot.

  2. Can anyone please help me to a file so I can add XEU CSC to my S3? My GS3 doesn't have the option. Where can I just find that CSC file? Thanks

  3. There is no XEU CSC file for Galaxy S3. That's UK default CSC for Galaxy S2 an older devices but now its already change to BTU, so grab UK stock ROM.

  4. My Mobile phone displays
    RST_STAT = 0X1
    PMIC_IR01 = 0BX3C
    PMIC_IR02 = 0X0
    PMIC_IR03 = 0X0
    PMIC_IR04 = 0X0
    Modem booting....
    End modem booting
    Now start usb upload.

    Model No. SGH-i897
    AT & T Samsung Galaxy S

Will it be possible to upload new BOOT ROM via ODIN from USB ?
If any help please reply me. Urgent Help needed.

  5. Yes! Try this below, I can't find newer build - I897UCKK4.

  6. Hi Expert,

I have a serious question which probably i am not able to find any answer.
    I have a at&t SGH 747 model of galaxy S3 which i have got.

I am from india. and i dont like the at&t logo poping up everytime.

    Q. Is it possible for me to flash by SGH-747 with i9300 International firmware? is it compatible? do let me know.

  7. No sir, for the GT-I9300 and AT&T SGH-I747 are not the same with each other - pertaining to hardware.
If you only need to get rid of the "at&t logo poping up everytime".... You may install any custom ROM, for these ROMs are already debloated - all unnecessary apps has been removed like logo and etc.
You can find this ROMs at XDA-Developer and select the best one.
DO NOT EVER used the GT-I9300 on SGH-I747 for softbricks/hardbrick is at high risk!

  8. I tried every rom... it works fine but when i want to update the firmware via kies it says ``your device doesn't support software upgrading via Kies`` What shell I do ? I just want to restore my samsung galaxy s3 to default because i rooted and now i have changed my mind. Please help!

  9. Hi sir, Please post your country of origin so that I can point you to the right stock ROM.
This message “your device doesn’t support software upgrading via Kies" appears due to the following reasons..
    1. The phone runs with a modified ROM and kernel.
    2. The phone is rooted.

  10. I live in the uk so please help me... I rooted my phone and now i want to restore it to it`s original state like when i bought it . I really need help with that. I tried lots of firmwares and roms ... And it doesn't feel like when i bought it . In fact in each of them i had errors . For example I want to play a game ... it doesn't start but in the original state i was able to play it with no problems.

  11. Hi sir Sebastian...
Here's the UK Galaxy S3 (unbranded) original factory firmware when shipped and sold in UK market.
    UK - BTU_I9300XXLE8_I9300OXAaLE8.
To get a fresher firmware installations.. like the way
    1. Back-Up all important files..
    2. Perform Full Wipe Data/ Factory Reset, to clean the memory cache of the phone.
    3. Then carefully follow the above installation guide.
    Hope that help...

  12. unfortunately itt says again that samsung kies cannot upgrade your device.. What shell I do ? Is really frustrating...

  13. Also the rom works really fine.. I have no worries with that but i just want to be able to get updates via kies...

  14. Thank you for your support but I have some questions:
I am from Brazil my GS3 is running under operator´s ROM (Brazil(VIVO) 2012 July 4.0.4 I9300UBBLG2 I9300ZVVBLG1 and I really want to flash a ZTO Rom.

1 - How can I do this, CWM or Odin ?
2 - I want to install this one (I9300UBBLG2 I9300ZTOBLG2) Is there any chance to flash it WITHOUT loosing my apps, data and configs ?
    3 - Do I need to do the 3 wipes ?
Thank you very much and waiting your answer ANSIOUSLY.

  15. For safety you can simply back up all your apps, etc using any back up apps installed on your phone.. before performing factory reset.
Flashing directly an stock ROM will never delete all your apps, it will only removed if you do the 3 wipes as you mentioned. It will not wipe all your data if you use stock ROM thru Odin.. Since all available Latin America stock ROM are non-wipe versions.

Anyway, Wiping data is only necessary if:
    - to get rid of lag, bootloops, stuck on welcome screen logo issues, once after flashing.
but if you do not experience this problem, you do not need to do it.

    Good Luck!

  16. I have after flashing problems to find network connection?

    current data:

    AP: I9300XXLF2
    CP: I9300XXLEF

But I want to flash with DBT (German). The Device is from France!

  17. Yes, you can flash Germany stock firmware.
network connection can be easily fix thru APN settings...
To input APN click "MENU" on front of phone, click "settings" on the bottom right of the screen
click "Wireless and Networks" at the top of the screen, Click "Mobile Networks" at the bottom of the screen,
Click "Access Point Names" at the bottom of the screen. Click "MENU" on the front of the phone and select "New APN" on the screen,
Enter details of network settings below and then click "MENU" on the front of phone and "Save"

  18. Hey, I was wondering if i can flash a different rom than the current one if have. If yes, then what would be the best one to flash because the current one I have gets absolutely no updates and I want to flash one that gets the updates the day they are released. Also am I able to flash it without have to do a wipe data/factory reset?? I'm new to this if you can't already tell ;p

    Current version :

    AP : i9300UBBLG2
    CP : i9300UBLG2
    CSC : i9300UUBBLG2

I was thinking about flashing an XXALE8 or XXBLFB

  19. Your firmware build indicates your in Latin America region. However flashing to another firmware build will work, but undesired outcomes like connection issues may encountered since Latin America and Europe has a different band of frequencies..

You may need to learn how to change CSC and MODEM version before you can successfully convert your phone to European build firmware.

  20. Well I'll live in Canada right now, I just bought the phone unlocked and that's the region it came from. So I'm not too concerned about that. I just want to be sure that it can be done and I'm not going to brick my phone completely.

  21. hi sir,is the stock rom you provided compatible with all Gt-i9300 s3?

If one of those capability is locked by your network providers, simply unlock your device to make it work with any GSM bands or using any SIM card around the world.

  38. OK!! I got the unlock code but I have no way of entering it!! I have to go get my micro sim tomorrow! I hope it does unblock the compatibility!!

  39. So I unlocked it. It doesn't work. I meant aws. I need to flash a t mobile radio on it or something. Out flash the 9300 oon it. Can I do that? Our is there anything that can help? Desperate and thank you!

  40. If you talk about GSM,WCDMA and LTE frequency, just make sure it also supported by your current network provider - the SIM card you used. Its not on the phone for its already has it.
Do not flash other variants baseband MODEM, it's not compatible either...
In Canada, here's the network providers doesn't support GSM bands anymore.
    Bell Mobility
    Lynx Mobility
    MTS Mobility
    Public Mobile
    SaskTel Mobility
    Sogetel Mobilité
    TBayTel Mobility
    Telus Mobility

Network providers that still supports GSM frequencies.
    DMTS Mobility
    ICE Wireless
    Rogers Wireless
    Videotron Mobile
    Wind Mobile
    DMTS Mobility

  41. Im with wind but the card isnt working. it shows roaming

  42. Roaming is intended to be used when one is outside of the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) carrier's network coverage. This is about network operators signal strength and capabilities, which is only them can answer this question.

  43. I have an unlocked US T-Mobile SAM T999 (07/09/2012) that I'm using on ATT network. Phone and text work fine but I can't get the email and internet to work "Network Unavailable". Can the phone manually be configured for ATT network access (i have a network and data plan). And/or can I flash the US ATT SGH-I747_ATT_I747UCALG1_I747ATTALG1 firmware on it and blow out the T-Mobile firmware?

  44. Hi,
I'm French (newbie) but living in Shanghai (China). I tried to flash my Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) with the french Jelly Bean ROM (downloaded from sammobile) but it failed. I can still access the phone in Download mode but that's it :'/ Is there any incompatibility for the modem? If you have any idea of what I should try…

    I used:
    - Odin 3.04
    - PDA: I9300XXDLJ2_I9300XEFDLJ2_I9300XXDLID_HOME.tar.md5

    The message ends with:

    Complete(Write) operation failed.
All threads completed (succeed 0 / failed 1)

  45. Try these troubleshooting options:
Remove the battery for a couple of seconds, then put it back again.
Next perform wipe data/factory reset thru Recovery Mode options.
Then try to flash back the Jelly bean again..

If that does not help.. try this second option.

Does your SGS3 runs an French official ICS firmware before you flash Jelly bean unto it?
If it does not or runs with Chinese (official) or any unofficial ROM, you should try restoring back to Original French ICS stock ROM:
Then again: flash the Jelly bean to upgrade..

Some factors of Odin failure issues:
    - bad USB cable wire.
    - bad PC USB port
    - interrupted by programs that runs on your PC system tray.

  46. Hi from the states, but I have a problem. There is a R next to my signal. I flash the phone with uk and hk rom, and no matter it still have the roaming there. Is there a US Tmobile stock rom for the gt-i9300 that I can install and just get rid of it? Thanks

  47. you know like a rom for the i9300 to be use in the states, I been reading few people have the same problem. Or which country can I flash to take the R away? need help it is driving me crazy. Thanks

  48. No, TMo uses a very different firmware for their S3, SGH-T999. It means that you cannot use T-Mo stock ROM on GT-I9300.

  49. ive previously rooted my phone and was trying to undo this for updates. When i flash my phone everything works fine with odin but the phone status stays as modified.

    any ideas ?

  50. Hi DroidAngel,

I would like to flash my S3 to receive the Jellybean update. The following are the details I discovered on my phone:

    S3 made in Vietnam
    GT-I9300 - Kenya
    PDA: I9300XXBLFB
    CSC: I9300OJVBLF3
    Version: 4.0.4

Is it safe for me to flash my phone to the Vietnam stock rom since that was where it was originally manufactured? Also, I live in the Philippines, so do I have the option to flash my phone to XTE stock rom instead?

Thanks in advance for your response! :)

  51. Yes, you can flash any Philippines stock ROM according to your network operator or "SIM card" you used..

  52. hi,

  58. Hello,

I need some expert help here. I recently brought a Samsung Galaxy S3 from US (SGH-T999) and has 4.1.1 installed. I want to uninstall the T-mobile firmware and install the international version or UK version. The phone is factory unlocked and has a 3 Network now. I am not able to use the WiFi Tethering on the device. For some reason when I turn on the WiFi Tether, it automatically turns off the next second. On the WiFi hotspot screen it shows "To use your phones hotspot capability , you much have the smartphone mobile Hotspot service added to your data plan. I check with 3 and there isn't any such service available.

I have rooted my device and third party apps such as wifi tether etc. but absolutely no go :(

    please help.

    Sagar Patil

  59. The U.S. Galaxy S3's T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint and AT&T cannot be installed with GT-I9300 international firmware. It will result to bricks if you may force to do so.

  60. Thank you!!!
    This was of GREAT help!

  61. I get stuck at the Welcome logo and when I try to Wipe through recovery, I get stuck at the android bot busy animation I waited for 17 - 18 minutes but its still stuck there. 64. hi there i have s3 from france and i would like to change the stock room to other regions. I could not get the product code by using *2767*4387264636# besically nothing appears after dialing the code. i manage to get things like AP(I9300XXDLJ2) Cp(I9300PODLJ1) CSC(I9300BOGDLJ2) so my question is: can i still flash different region rom for instance for the UK without bricking my device?

  65. It came from Bouygues, France service provider. Yes you can install, using official firmware with Odin are completely safe.

  66. DroidAngle thanks for your reply. I was thinking that i will have to go for stock rom dedicated for france based on the warning in the tutorial above"Choose and install only the right stock ROM on each specified Galaxy S3 model number, DO NOT install to other model numbers for it will harm your device or result to possible bricks" can anyone elaborate on it. what they mean by that and once again how can i know which rom is safe for me? sorry for asking silly questions but if u dont aske then u don't know:).anyone could suggest the one i could go for.can i have unbranded uk stock rom? like this one

  67. please ignore the previous entry. once again thank u droidangle

  70. Hi. wanted to know if the 4.1.1 JellyBean stock ROM for the SCH-I535 comes with the option to add new APNs. been struggling with it for a while now since I'm outside the U.S and can't really access the web on my phone unless via Wi-Fi. your response and/or any help in solving this will be very much appreciated!

I know this is an old thread but I just want to say thanks for the help in restoring my S3. I had rooted it when it first came out for Verizon and was ready for some updates. Your instructions are awesome and now I have a nice fresh 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS to take off with once again! :)

  78. im loocking for this rom: can anyone help me?

    Puerto Rico ……. Claro ……………… PCT ………….. I9300UBALE6/I9300UWAALE4/I9300UBLE6

  79. I live in Canada and ever since I got the first updated firmware I have had a hard time staying connected to bell network . I was wondering if it is possible to just flash the phone part back to the original settings with out flashing the hole rom ? So I can keep the jelly bean os but have the better signal that the original firmware has.

  80. You can do a Frankenstein flashing from which you can only flash a Bell's MODEM. I ain't not recommended that method for it cause trouble updating the software via OTA or Kies.

  81. thanks droidangel for the tutorial Im always forgetting which PDA/MODEM etc goes where (hardly ever get samsungs to reload firmware to) this one I have in front of me is a friends & trying restore stock as its overheating/HW fault. However is there a way of resetting the 'flash attempts' back to 0 (zero) ? because before flash was zero but after ODIN stock firmware flashed the counter is '1' :(

  82. Stock firmware will not trip binary counter that's simply because its the official and genuine one. I suspects that you've used either a stock rooted rom and/or custom recovery. Anyway, use a triangle-away apps to reset binary flash counter but I'm not sure if its still works on recent updates.

  83. I need some help I have a sch-r530 i did some thing wrong to this phone the only thing it will do is going into download mode . I think I need a pit file for it don't any idea were to get one . I also need to know were to get the stock framware to any help would be great THANKS ...

  84. A friend of me tryed to play with his I9300, now he got a I9300 that only boots in the "Android system recovery 3e", he know i got a i9000 and ask me to fix it
If i ask what he has done, he simply doenst know ( yea i know , compleet re****) (no backup made)

Now i am trying to fix it.
    symptom and what i tryed

    - It does only boot in "Android system recovery 3e", I dont get in the "Download mode", volume down+home+on doesnt work, it just boots in "Android system recovery 3e"
    - I tryed using ADB tools to boot it to "download mode" (from the "Android system recovery 3e") But it only reboots in "Android system recovery 3e" again.
    - I tryed NVflash, but this doesnt recognize the phone when its in "Android system recovery 3e"

(if i only get it in "download mode"it was easy, but i cant )

Ok I was stuck in "Android system recovery 3e"

What are mij options in "Android system recovery 3e"?

    reboot system now
    apply update from ABD
    apply update from external storage
    wipe data/factory reset
    wipe cache partition
    aaply update from cache

(under it it says in Yellow)

    # Manual mode #
    -- Appling Multi-CSC....
    Appliad the CSC-code : PHN
    Successfully applied multi-CSC

    I tryde
    - i placed a costum mode rom(WanamLite V5.9) (*.zip) on the mirco SD-card and tryed to use the "apply update from external storage"...
    Get message:

---Intall /sdcard....... (this takes 3 min)

Then i am back in the "Android system recovery 3e" menu , i pick "reboot system now" and it reboots in "Android system recovery 3e"

It seem to me that the bootloader isnt there any more (only 3e recovery)

How can i get the phone to work from the 3e recovery menu?
    I am stuck

    Thanks in advance!

  85. I think you are already on the right path. Instead of flashing the whole ROM, just try to extract the the ROM you have, now get the 'boot.img' file only. Put it on the SD card.. Then flash it via recovery "apply update from external storage". If this ain't worked, then there is nothing more I can guarantee you but send the phone to the nearest service center.

  86. After installing a rom from Sammobile or rooting process with CF-Root, I lost voice service. The IMEI is 0049 or null/null. It keeps saying “Insert SIM card” or “No SIM”. No phone calls possible. Chances are the efs got corrupted in the process. And no backup. Now I have a phone with no phone service. Sad.
I tried everything to no avail.

International version... so no Qualcomm Settings.

  87. That was caused by Knoxx red-flag when you installed CF-Root.

  88. my s3 mini GT-18190 wont go in download mode does this means i should throw it away???? please help :-(((((

  89. Hey,

I live in Jamaica but I purchased my Galaxy S3 from Canada (SGH-T999V). I am having problems running USSD codes such as *120# (to check my account balance) etc. I get a message saying "Connection problem or invalid MMI code".

If I flash my phone with a different Stock ROM will it affect anything? If yes which one would be most suitable.

    Paitiently awaiting your response.
